When you buy your printer and paper from Computing Designs Inc. on a regular basis, we will continue to provide you
with technical support to keep your printers running and your business a success.

Service for New Printers under Warranty

If you just bought a new Mitsubishi printer that you can't get working right out of the box,
contact the dealer you bought the printer from.  It is their responsibility to get you running with a fully
functioning printer.  If your printer is
DOA, they can provide the proper steps for replacement.

If your printer has been working fine but now requires WARRANTY SERVICE :

  • first call us at 407-521-9882 so we know your printer is coming 

  • Ship the printer in the original box with the ink sheets and media you were using when the problem started

  •  INSURE and SHIP your printer to us. 

  •  Include a detailed description of the problem including any photo samples which show the problem. 
    We can only fix the problems you send us & can recreate, so please be thorough.


Service for Printers no longer under warranty

  • ESTIMATES/LABOR -
    All repairs are a flat rate - non refundable, due upon arrival,  plus parts

  • Return shipping to most US locations is $25.00. 
    Please let us know where you want the printer returned so we can estimate return shipping.

  • first call us at 407-521-9882 to walk us thru the problems you are having. 

  • Ship the printer in the original box with the ink sheets and media you were using when the problem started

  •   

  •   INSURE and SHIP your printer to us. 

  • Include a detailed description of the problem including any photo samples which show the problem. 
    We can only fix the problems you send us & can recreate, so please be thorough.

  • When your printer arrives, we will call you to get your credit card information. 
    Your card will be charged immediately for the estimate fee.

  • When the repair estimate is complete, we will call you with the results. 

  • If parts are required and you decide to fix the printer, repairs will be continued and the printer shipped when complete.

  • If you donít want it fixed, it will be returned to you for the previously paid estimate fee.
    Return shipping is $25.00 or you can pick up your printer or provide us your preferred shipper number.

  •  Any item sent in for repair must be paid for within 30 days of completion of repair or estimate.
    You will be charged $2 PER DAY beyond the 30 days
    Once the value of your printer reaches your unpaid bill, THE PRINTER WILL BE SOLD FOR THE AMOUNT DUE.

  • Shipping Notes

  • If you do not have the original box, pack your printer in an extra strong box with multiple layers of bubble wrap.

  • DO NOT put foam peanuts in the box.  They get lodged inside the printer and may result in additional damage to your printer. 
    You will be charged an additional service fee to clean and repair your printer due to this damage

  • Be sure all strip bins are empty.  You may be charged an additional cleaning fee if the strips are caught inside the printer.

  • If you wish to pay for return shipping yourself, include a paid RETURN SHIPMENT ADDRESS LABEL
    in the box with the printer with your return address or your shipper id.  Insurance & return ship labels from your
    shipper will be required if you need to file a claim with the shipper should your printer arrive
    damaged by the shipper in either direction.  

  • Parts Notes

  • All parts which need to be ordered, come from Mitsubishi parts services in California.

  • Depending on their stock availability, it takes 5-7 business days for us to receive parts.

  • Mitsubishi parts are only warranted for 30 days from the date of our purchase. 
    Therefore we only warranty parts within that same timeframe.

  • There is NO REFUND and NO WARRANTY on any part you buy and install yourself

  • Repair Warranty

  • Repairs are warranted for 30 days from delivery of your printer by the shipper.  No exceptions.

  • Only the parts which were part of your original repair are included in the warranty.

  • If your printer fails for a different reason than original repair, it is considered a new repair even if within the 30 day
    period.  That is why it is important we know exactly what is wrong with your printer.

  • Telephone Support

  • When you buy your printer and paper from Computing Designs Inc. on a regular basis, we will continue to provide you
    with technical support to keep your printers running and your business a success.

  • We do not provide telephone support for anyone else, no exceptions. 
    If you are having printer problems, you must send it in for a chargeable service call.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE ON OPERATING SYSTEMS AND HARDWARE

  • It is impossible for us to have every operating system available in our shop.

  • It is YOUR responsibility, to make sure the printer you are sending in for repair was in perfect working order on the PC and operating system you used before sending it in and testing after repair.

  • If you upgrade your environment and the printer no longer works, the problem is in your environment, not the printer.

  • Make sure you have downloaded the correct drivers for your new system.

  • Do a Test Print directly from the driver.  If the test print comes out, your system and printer are communicating properly. 
    Any other printing problems are from your software.

  • If the test print does not print, try reloading the drivers and repeat the process.

  • Also, try using the printer on another pc which you know works with other printers. 

  • With all the new operating systems & software these days, many many times the problem is with your
    new products and not the printer.  Test thoroughly before you send in your printer.

  • If your printer works fine in our shop but not on your equipment, we will still charge you for the repair and return shipping.
